Rise and Shine

Sometimes an artist makes a "mistake" in a painting and it really turns out to be a welcome, unexpected surprise. This is what happened in this sunflower painting when I accidently dropped some purple paint on it. I loved the way it made the background look. So don't be discouraged by mistakes-you may find it improves your painting!

Blue Cascade

Another water fall painting done on YUPO paper. Some artists say they really hate using this paper but others just love it! I think it's great for painting looser, less detailed paintings and certain subjects (such as waterfalls) really lend themselves to the use of this paper. Try it!
